80's Fever

Well Friday night was Dinusha's Farewell. He was one of my supervisors at work. It was heaps fun it was 80's theme and was at Sea La Vie in Dee Why, kinda like a function room thing. It was funny cause they gave us all tabs that we just charged drinks onto, so at the end of the night the people were like "Ok, pay up.." and the drunk person was like "Wha? Pay what?" and they were like "That's $100 thanks!" Hehehe...

So yeah it was pretty fun.. Scotty dressed up as Michael Jackson with full leather pants and leather jacket with an M on the back. And Franco dressed up Ron Burgandy-esque. Alana went full out and wore a bright purple floral printed jumpsuit and took full use of her hip flask lol. Bree wore this green dress thing and went insane, as expected. Sheree and Lisa looked so cute they had matching lil pink satin shortie things with leggings and leg warmers over heels. So gorgeous.

All the managers got drunk it was so funny cause next morning we all had to work at 9am, and we were all sitting in the staffroom quietly over cups of coffee and someone arrived and was like "Hello!" and we were like groaning, "Loud... noises... blergh..." Hehehe...

I managed to get away with not paying my bar tab by allowing myself to be bought drinks the whole night. Eh'xcelent. Female persuasion. :P It was also a pretty intense emotional night full of lots of crap (dont wanna make it seem all roses and shine) but I'm gonna shut my mouth and not go into details so as to respect privacy. But yeah. This world is screwed is my conclusion.

We danced. To 80's music. Alana picked me up and spun me around and we both ended up on the ground laughing and still dancing; all to be caught on camera. Jo Moore got shitty and gave everyone evil eyes. That was pretty "classic" Adifi tried to blackmail me into the changing of the song on my position at sound bar. And I had fun dressing up with our left over pink fishnets from the "Ooo Wee" dance. And I tried some yummy cocktails.

So pretty much it was a night full of fun, dance and laughter and as Hannah would say.. "Ah.. another infamous Target party..." ;)

Still Moving

Well I am now officially a composer. Woo..
Ben and I spent the whole weekend (bout 8 hours over a Saturday and Sunday all up) recording my composition (it's for a school Music Assessment) It's only a minute long but has the potential to be developed into a full-length piece, we just didn't have enough time.

It's called "Still Moving" and is about keeping on going after heartache and how everything else is a constant even when you feel like nothing is. I'm kinda proud of it actually. It was originally meant to be just instrumentals but a vocal line came to us at the last minute so we recorded it in a rush.

"The world keeps spinning, spinning around
The rain out the window's still falling down
The clouds are still moving haven't hit the ground.

The days are still changing the sky still moves,
The sand is coarse and your hand is too
And I'd do anything to make you feel this too."
